Administrative Council
Administrative Council is the decision-making body of the church. As The Book of Discipline describes, “It provides for planning and implementing programs of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources for individuals and families of all ages…It envisions, plans, implements, and evaluates the mission and ministry of the church.”
Administrative Council is comprised of the chairpersons of all ministry teams in the church, as well as the lay leader, two at-large members, the pastor, and the Council chairperson. It meets the third Tuesday of every month except December and July.
Church-wide initiatives are vetted by the Administrative Council. This past year, the Council implemented a very successful $500,000 capital campaign to update and upgrade the condition of the church building. It also held a long-range planning retreat to position the church for the future and address exciting new challenges. It is supporting programs and innovations in a variety of ministries, including technology, outreach, and education, just to name a few.
