Capital Campaign 2008-2011

This is the official site of the 2008-2011 Capital Campaign of The Jonesville United Methodist Church of Clifton Park, NY. Through the site, you will learn about the basic goals and progress of the "Celebrating Our Journey" Capital Campaign. Much of the material on this site will be conveyed to friends and members through special mailings and newsletters, but much information will also be unique to the site. Our underlying message for making this campaign successful is "Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice." The site will be updated with timely information about the campaign. Future pages will include further descriptions and photos of the needed repair work and additional photographs of our magnificent building. And once our necessary repair work begins, you can follow the work as it progresses. You will also be able to use this site to track the progress of pledges and gifts to the campaign. Throughout the three years of our campaign, you will be able to download a commitment card and make a pledge. If you have questions about the "Celebrating Our Journey" Capital Campaign, you will also be able to contact us and someone will get back to you.

Ephesians 2:20-22 partners church building with church body: "…built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."

We are building on the living legacy of those who have labored for the Lord before us and we are laying the foundation for the legend that our children will achieve after us. It has been a seamless journey of faith and service, begun in 1826, and echoing through the sacred stories of Jonesville UMC members.

By releasing the future from the backlog of the year-to-year draining of financial resources, we both enable and empower our children’s legacy to flourish.
